Shooting After Thanksgiving!

My family doesn’t typically get together for Thanksgiving, so this year we decided to get together the Saturday following Thanksgiving for a fun family activity… and what could be more fun as a family then shooting?!  (not each other obviously!)  It’s so fun to get together with my brothers and all their kids that live close.  They are growing up so fast and are turning out to be such fun, responsible, happy, good little humans.  I’m so proud of them, and their parents too!

All the kids took a turn shooting at targets, apples, and water bottles; they were a good shot!  Thanks to Shane we had a propane heater, hot chocolate, and treats.  He is our family emergency preparedness guy and he has everything!  Thanks for keeping us all warm Shane!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just to get the day started off right (and to burn a few extra calories), here are some jokes that are SURE to get a good laugh!

Q:  Why did they let the turkey join the band?
A:  Because he had the drumsticks!

Q:  Why did the pilgrim’s pants keep falling off?
A:  The buckle was on his hat!

Q:  What did the turkey say before it was roasted?
A:  Boy! I’m stuffed!

Q:  What always comes at the end of Thangsgiving?
A:  The letter G!

Q:  What do you get after eating way too much turkey and dressing?
A:  Dessert, of course!

Gobble, Gobble!

Collective Soul Road Trip!

Road Trip!  I personally am in love with road trips, not all the time, but every once and a while its nice to jump in the car and just drive.  For the last couple years we’ve done just that with our goods friends Mike and Candice.  It all started with Jason and Mike’s love for Collective Soul.  I know it is Jason’s all time favorite band, which makes it that much more fun.  The concerts we have been to are up in Wendover at the Peppermill Concert Hall.  Although Wendover as a town is super ghetto (in my opinion) I actually love the concert hall there.  Its small and the way the sitting is structured just about every seat in the house is a good seat.  Our trips are never too long, just a night or two, which is just long enough to get in some good buffets, golf, and hangout at the pool.  (and just in-case you were wondering, there has never been gambling involved, although I am always tempted to play Craps… I think next time we’ll just have to pack the board game called Wits and Wagers or as Mike calls it “guess your gamble.”)  🙂
